The right to the highest attainable standard of health is the internationally agreed objective of health care. The right covers controlling, eliminating and eradicating neglected tropical diseases.

Prof Ahmed Fahal and his colleagues undertake research and teaching intended to assist realisation of these principles of the right to healthcare looking in particular at Mycetoma clinical and basic research to intensified disease management and develop preventive chemotherapy.
